Conservativism for Dummies(or how not to be played like a drum)

There was an article out where Al Gore praised Mitt Romney for his stand on Global Warming. Immediately the so called conservatives say...see see the liberals love him. Do you really think he means this? Not really. He just wants you to believe something. Believe a lie.
You are being drug into the spin zone of politics by people who think you are dumb enough to bite on just about anything. What does Romney say about Global Warming? His words are there in that You Tube video. But this is what he wrote in his book, same thing:

“I am uncertain how much of the warming, however, is attributable to man and how much is attributable to factors out of our control. I do not support radical feel-good policies like a unilateral U.S. cap-and-trade mandate. Such policies would have little effect on climate but could cripple economic growth with devastating results for people across the planet.” -- Mitt Romney No Apology, p. 227   Mitt is not for Cap and Trade. But the message by Al Gore suggests that when it is in no way true.

Political mind games. They are pros and most of us are amateurs. No matter how much Rush Limbaugh you watch or how many times you see Glenn Beck call a person a progressive, or say they are all alike. Unless you learn to be responsible for your own conclusions and test what everyone is saying, you are easy pickings for the political games people play.
Today I put up a comment about how people seem to be ignoring the good conservative message of Rick Santorum. A good friend put up an article of how Rick had supported Arlen Spector and that "Conservatives do not forget this. Excuse me, Republicans in office support other Republicans in office. Why don't you look at some of Sarah Palins endorsements the past few years. It is no different and yet she gets a pass? Ricks record speaks for itself. No one is perfect, but he is a very firm conservative.

Alec Baldwin recently came out and said that he hopes Mitt Romney wins because Barrack Obama would win. Is that so? It just came out that among registered voters, Mitt Romney is ahead right now 49-46. Three points ahead. But why does he say that? We think he is stupid. But in actuality, if he make you so afraid of four more years of Obama that you forget about the person who actually is ahead of Obama.

Ross Perot took 19% of the vote one year. He did not win a state, and yet he did just enough damage to give Bill Clinton both terms. 8 years that hurt this country and set the tone for what is happening today. Bill Clinton would have been just as big of a spender as Obama if it were not for the Republicans in the House and Senate, and Newt Gingrich's iron fist. We owe a lot to Newt.

Donald Trump was a democrat until 2009. Not sure of the reason of change but he had a long record of contributions to liberals. he comes out and challenges Obama's birth certificate and people jump on his bandwagon, want him as President and basically fawn over him like he was a Rock Star. So... ummmn who are the dummies here? He is a liberal. He knows nothing will come of all of this except a very questionable birth certificate was produced.

Isn't about time we started thinking for ourselves and not just believing what people tell you?
