Politics is a funny bird. It never ceases to amaze me in life how often people just take the word of others instead of actually doing some research. i really wonder how different things would be if people would just use a little common sense, coupled with discernment.
On the Left we have these liberals. We accuse them of being stupid. Being liars to continue their cause whether it be about global warming, or anything. We can point out many facts that can prove them wrong. But when someone has an agenda, they will twist things to form their plan.
The same is true about the people in the middle and on the right. For the most part the people who are followers just repeat what they hear. It doesn't matter if it really is true. The issue is that it gets pronounced something and promoted. There is an equal amount of intellectual dishonesty on all sides. People are human. Humans are not God. They lie, cheat and steal.
I do not really care what people have to say about Barrack Obama. There are so many places he can be attacked and rightfully so. He has put new meaning to the word disaster. It is hitting home in one way or another in almost every living room in America. America is in need of a competent replacement.
Most normal people will look and see the main issues are deficit spending, the economy and jobs. We could throw in the creeping Sharia law and Immigration. But the deficit, economy and jobs are the top of the list that threatens America today. So, why are people not taking a close look at the candidates to really see who is the best candidate? I believe if they were, things would make a lot more sense. Instead its usually the flavor of the day
Emotions rule. Many conservatives will state that emotions rule liberalism. But with an honest look at things you can pretty much say it effects everyone. Talk Show Host, the conservative Mark Levin made a statement recently that showed a total lack of discernment and understanding. He said that Rick Perry is someone that he could vote for. Now Mark is always talking about the constitution and conservatism. I will ask anyone to point out one thing that Rick Perry is conservative about. Is it his doubling spending and debt in his tenure? Is it his 300,000 new government jobs in the state since 2007? That is growing government. There is a lot more, but my point is this... Rick Perry has not governed like a conservative. It has been the exact opposite. Mandating a vaccine on 12 year old girls? C'mon.
You have to be kidding me. A man who was in Reagan's cabinet at the age of 27 doesn't know any better than this? Of course it doesn't end there.
We have the Tea Party. It is blown in the wind. Michelle Bachman was their early favorite. Can I ask why? I have heard a lot of talking points from her that seem to arouse the emotionally charged Patriots, but very very few answers or plans. What is her appeal? Lets look closely. I realize she has no chance and has fallen from grace somewhat, but they still pushed her.
Its an executive position. The stakes are higher than ever before with the issues surrounding America. Does she have executive experience? Nope. That should be, if people were honest, red flag number one. Ok, has she ever balanced a budget in a political realm? No she has not. This is probably the biggest issue for future America. She has no experience in this. She also has never fixed an economy. But, alas she can speak continually about the constitution. The constitution will not fix this mess.
The next newbie for the Tea Party seems to be Herman Cain. Herman is a talk show host that has been a good businessman. Not great, but good. They say it will take raising about 1 billion dollars in campaign money to beat Barrack Obama. Herman is not raising that much money or close to it. I will say Herman has his 999 plan. At least he has that. But he is not a shrewd debater. He, like Bachman spews talking points with very few answers. Big red flag is Herman likes affirmative action. That is not good. He also is not for an outside audit of the Federal Reserve. To me, that just is not enough. He is a fine man. But not someone I want in the white house in these circumstances. Hiss 999 plan is not even close to the detail and planning that Mitt Romney has put forth in his concise and detailed plan for America. I encourage you to read them both. Then decide, but do not just go on words. By the way, who did Herman Cain endorse in 2008? Mitt Romney.
That leaves three people worth talking about. The three I consider the best candidates. Rick Santorum gets overlooked a lot in these debates. He is very astute and should be considered for a VP position by the winner. He has been outstanding and sice he is not "the" Tea Party, he sadly gets overlooked. He has long been strong, vocal and involved as a Senator.
The more research I have done on Newt Gingrich, the more I agree he should be over at the Democratic party. He supported National Health Care, Cap and trade in a differing version. He has long worked against the conservative efforts.
01/30/2011 – He lobbied for ethanol subsidies.
01/30/2011 – He suggested that flex-fuel vehicles be mandated for Americans.
02/02/2011 – He says we are “losing the War on Terror”; the conflict will be as long as the Cold War

03/15/2011 – Says that NAFTA worked because it created jobs in Mexico.
03/19/2011 – He has no regrets about supporting Medicare drug coverage. (Now $7.2T unfunded liability)
03/23/2011 – He completely flip-flopped on Libyan intervention in 16 days.
03/25/2011 – He plans to sign as many as 200 executive orders on his first day as president.
03/27/2011 – He says that America is under attack by atheist Islamists.
04/25/2011 – He’s a paid lobbyist for Federal ethanol subsidies.
05/12/2011 – He was more supportive of individual health-care mandates than Mitt Romney.
05/15/2011 – Said GOP’s plan to cut back Medicare was “too big a jump.”
05/15/2011 – He backed Obama’s individual mandate; “All of us have a responsibility to help pay for health care.”
05/16/2011 – He also endorsed individual mandates in 1993 when Clinton pushed Universal Health Care.
05/17/2011 – He has an outstanding debt to Tiffany’s Jewelry of between $250K – $500K.
06/09/2011 – His own campaign staff resigned en masse.
07/15/2011 – His poorly managed campaign is over $1 Million in debt.
08/01/2011 – He hired a company to create fake Twitter to appear as if he had a following.
08/11/2011 – His recent criticism of the United Nations is belied by a long, long history of supporting it.
09/27/2011 – He says that he “helped develop the model for Homeland Security”
10/07/2011 – He said he’d ignore the Supreme Court if need be.
11/12/2011 – He advocates assassinating Iranian scientists and covert war with Iran.
11/19/2011 – He said Barney Frank should be arrested for his close ties
lobbying for Freddie Mac, just one month before it became public that
Gingrich was also lobbying for them at the same time.
11/20/2011 – He has been outed as a paid lobbyist for drug companies, but he still denies it.
11/22/2011 – He supports the Patriot Act and would like to see it strengthened.
11/22/2011 – He says that matters of National Security should not be encumbered by giving Due Process to the accused.
11/28/2011 – He thinks its the job of the Federal Government to ban medical marijuana.
11/28/2011 – He is a Pharmaceutical lobbyist, and coincidentally thinks that non-Pharma drugs like medical marijuana should be banned by the Federal government.
11/28/2011 – He said he wants to be “aggressive” with Cuba topple their government before 2014.
11/28/2011 – He praised draconian drug penalties in Singapore for the second time.
12/01/2011 – His comments about warning Freddie Mac of its “insane” business model are proven false when his laudatory interview from 2007 surfaced again.
12/08/2011 – He pocketed campaign funds — including paying himself over $40K for a mailing list he already had.
Then there is Mitt Romney. What a load of misconceptions abound about him. There are thousands of people who shut down on him and spew out...Romney Care !!! Enough said. Well, going back to what I originally stated. Intellectual honesty with real integrity. How is that found in saying Romney care? The truth is it is not.
His state faced on a lower scale the dark issues found in Arizona where illegals and others use the health care system with either no insurance or no intent on paying. Can we fairly state that that is a problem? So what exactly is the answer? Arizona is losing many hospitals over this.
Romney Care is not his plan. He vetoed many issues in it he did not like and the veto proof legislature vetoed him back. By due process he had to eventually sign the bill. As he has said, there were good things and bad things in it. But something had to be done. It did not try and get rid of private health care. It also was only 1% of the state budget. It is not much different than any socialized medicine you will find in many counties. It is not a threat to private healthcare like Obama care. It is not close.
But why would I promote Mitt over anyone else? Could it be he also balanced a state budget deficit with no new taxes and by cutting 341 social programs? Lets translate this. He downsized Government while Governor. Isnt that what the Tea party wants? Or do they really know?
Perhaps it is because he took the state from 50th in unemployment to 11th nationally in one term.
Perhaps it is because of his extreme success as a businessman in the private sector. He is called the best businessman in North America.
All of these are more than enough for me to support Mitt Romney. He is against Cap and Trade, against federal health care and believes that it is a state issue. He will give waivers to all 50 states until it can be repealed. He is for the war on terror. he is for enforcing present immigration laws. Here is what he says how he will control government spending . Here is his plan for restoring our economy . I know exactly what my candidate plans on doing. Do you know what yours can/or will do?
